What the Bible Says
About Prayer

"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Matthew 26:41

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 19:19-20

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. " Mark 11:24-25

Prayer Ministry

We, at Corinth Baptist Church, believe in the power of prayer! Even Christ Himself, though being God the Son, prayed to His Father continuously...throughout His life and ministry. If Christ Himself needed to pray to God, then how much more so do we need prayer?

Our church prayer ministry is devised of several outlets for prayer. First, we have a prayer chain that many of our members make up. When we have an urgent prayer need communicated to our church, we pass this prayer request along this prayer chain. Second, on every Sunday morning, two or three of our church members spend the entire time during the worship service in our prayer room, praying both for our many requests as well as for the awesome things the Holy Sprit is doing in our services.

With that in mind, we would love to pray for you in any way we can. If you have a prayer request you would like to communicate to our church, please fill out that information in the spaces below, or feel free to call our church office. Your requests will not be listed on our website, unless you requests that they be included online.

"O, God, we have been the recipients of the choicest blessings of heave.  We have preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity.  We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown; but we have forgotten God.. It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sin, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness."  Abraham Lincoln
