How to become a Christian The Bible says that it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
|
One day we will all die. When we do, we will stand before God to face judgment. This judgment will determine where we will spend eternity, Heaven for those who are found righteous and eternal damnation for those who are not.
Do you know where you will spend eternity?
The Bible says that there is no one righteous, no not one (Romans 3:10).
If this is TRUE, how can any of us enter Heaven?
|
There is only one way! Jesus Christ is that way!
 |
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
You may be asking, "What must I do to be saved so that I will spend eternity in Heaven with God?
|
|
First you must recognize that you are a sinner.
As it is written: "There is no one righteous, no not one." (Romans 3:10)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
How is it that all are sinners?
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
So what if I am sinner? How is that going to cost me?
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us! (Romans 5:8)
|
What do I do now?
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Pray something like this:
|
|
(Now, these words are not magical. It's not the words that save, but the attitude of the heart as refltected in these words...)
Dear God,
Thank you for loving me. I admit that I am a sinner. I know that I have sinned against You by the things I have done, said, and thought. Please forgive my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, and that he died on the cross to pay for the debt of my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead, and that He lives to this day. I invite Jesus into my heart. Thank you God for forgiving me and for coming into my life. Thank you Jesus for dying for me, now help me live for you. Amen!
